A Premier Tom Petty Tribute Experience

Meet the band

Petty Things was born out of a genuine love for one of rock music’s most enduring legacies. Based in Wisconsin and performing across the Midwest, the band has built a reputation as a standout tribute act — one that doesn’t just play the songs, but truly inhabits the spirit behind them.

From the driving anthems of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to intimate collaborations with special guest Stevie Nicks performer BD Greer, Petty Things delivers a professionally crafted live show that resonates deeply with audiences of every generation.

Petty Things brings together some of Wisconsin’s most accomplished working musicians, united by a deep respect for Tom Petty’s catalog and the craft of live performance.

Geoff Landon

Lead Vocals

The heart of Petty Things, Geoff Landon is a four-time WAMI Award winner whose command of Tom Petty’s laid-back yet magnetic vocal style is nothing short of remarkable.

A seasoned frontman with years of Midwest stages behind him, Geoff brings the same natural charisma and authentic energy that defined Petty’s performances — making every show feel personal, powerful, and alive.

When he’s not fronting Petty Things, Geoff leads his own acts, Geoff Landon’s High Country and Still Reckless.

Pat Stillman

Lead Guitar

Pat Stillman masterfully channels the understated genius of Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell — the signature riffs, the soulful bends, the moments of quiet brilliance that elevated every Petty track.

A versatile veteran of the Wisconsin music scene, Pat also performs weekly with jazz ensemble The Swingin’ Royals, soul act Minor Worries, and funk outfit FBI and the Untouchable Horns, and blues legend Jay Edward.

Chris Okkerse

Bass Guitar

Chris Okkerse anchors the band’s low end with the same steady groove that Howie Epstein — himself a Wisconsin native — brought to the Heartbreakers for decades. Whether locking in on You Wreck Me or finding the subtle pocket of Don’t Do Me Like That, Chris delivers with consistency and feel.

He’s also one half of acoustic duo The Cheese Doodles and holds down the bass chair for popular country act Chasin’ Mason.

Terry Michaels

Keyboards

Terry Michaels brings the full sonic palette of Benmont Tench to life — from the delicate piano of Good to Be King to the snarling Hammond organ that drives Refugee.

A versatile and expressive player, Terry adds the atmospheric depth that made The Heartbreakers sound so rich and complete. Outside of Petty Things, he fronts original prog rock project Lyndenthal.

Erik Holmes

Drums

Erik Holmes is the engine room of Petty Things, delivering the precision and feel of both Stan Lynch and Steve Ferrone depending on where the setlist takes the night.

A highly sought-after drum instructor in Southeast Wisconsin and all-around musician, Erik also currently performs with Geoff Landon’s High Country and blues legend Jay Edward.

BD Greer

Guest Vocals

No celebration of Tom Petty’s legacy would be complete without Stevie Nicks. BD Greer — one of Milwaukee’s finest jazz vocalists and leader of BD Greer and The Gents — brings Nicks’ signature raspy mystique and commanding presence to the Petty Things stage.

BD joins Geoff Landon for “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” and select Fleetwood Mac favorites, adding dynamic duets and unforgettable moments that make the show feel even bigger than expected.

More Than the Notes — The Heart Behind Them

Tom Petty’s music has always defied easy categorization — part rock, part folk, part blues, entirely American. For Petty Things, honoring that legacy means going beyond faithful reproduction. It means channeling the warmth, grit, and emotional honesty that made Petty and The Heartbreakers so universally beloved.

A setlist packed with radio staples like Free Fallin’, American Girl, Refugee, and Runnin’ Down a Dream ensures every audience member has their moment — while deep cuts reward the diehard fans who know every word of every B-side.

A Show Built on Passion. Ready for Your Stage.

Every member of Petty Things brings professional experience, deep musical roots, and a genuine love for this music. The result is a live show that feels authentic to longtime fans and immediately accessible to anyone who’s ever heard a Tom Petty song on the radio and felt something.

If you’re looking for a reliable, high-caliber tribute act that your audience will be talking about long after the last note fades — we’d love to connect.
